Introduction

Dr. Jonas Kwabla Fiadzawoo is a Senior Lecturer in French in the Department of Language and Information Studies, Faculty of Communication and Cultural Studies at the University for Development Studies, Tamale, Ghana.  Dr. Fiadzawoo is a product of the University of Cape Coast, Ghana. He also received professional trainings at the Centre International de Recherche et d'Étude de Langues, University of Lomé (Togo) and the Centre de Linguistique Appliquée, University of Franche-Comté, Besançon (France).

He is currently the Head of Department of Languages. Previously, he was the Quality Assurance Representative and subsequently the Head of the Department of Development Education Studies at the Faculty of Education (UDS). Jonas has over 9 years of worthy experience teaching graduate and postgraduate students and has supported several students in their research and academic development in diverse ways including the supervision of their theses.

He also serves on review panels for some reputable international journals and is also an external examiner for some academic institutions in Ghana. His research interests include sociolinguistics, pragmatics, discourse analysis, Didactics of French as a Foreign Language and Language for Specific Purposes. He currently has two books and 13 peer-reviewed articles to his credit and has also presented several scientific papers at various conferences.
