The University for Development Studies Endowment Fund (UDSEF) continues to receive donations from individuals and groups. The latest to contribute to the fund, is the Central Students Representative Council (SRC) of UDS. The President of the UDS Central SRC, Mr. Magnus Zolideme Dogoli, in the company of the Vice Secretary of the Central SRC, UDS, Dery Anzagra Joshua, presented a cheque of two thousand Ghana Cedis to the Treasury Office at the Central administration in Tamale.
The presentation of the money was in fulfillment of a pledge the SRC President made on behalf of the students’ body, during the launch of the UDSEF on April, 30, 2022.
The UDSEF aims to provide additional funds to supplement government’s efforts to ensure effective delivery of the University’s mandate. Among other things, the purpose of the fund includes scholarships, tuition waivers, research grants for students and faculty, additional facilities and resources and provision of equipment. To achieve this, the University hopes to raise 100 million Ghana Cedis in the next five years.
