A Principal Accounting Assistant at the UDS School of Medicine Mr. Iddi Abdul Rahman, who, until May 27, 2022, was the Wayamba Zobogo-Naa, has been elevated to the position of Tolon-Dimal Naa. This was after the Paramount Chief of the Tolon Traditional Area, Major (Retired) Sulemana Abubakari presented him with Cola to signify his elevation in the presence of other sub-chiefs in the Tolon Traditional area.

After receiving the Cola, the newly elevated Tolon-Dimal Naa was admonished to uphold the image carved by his ancestors and to be steadfast in his allegiance to his people. He was also entreated to be firm, honest and manly in the discharge of his duties as chief and should endeavour to facilitate the development of Dagbon as a whole.

Tolon is mainly a farming community and is the capital of the Tolon District, in the Northern Region. Speaking to reporters from the University Relations Office after his elevation, the Tolon-Dimal Naa said he saw his new status "as an opportunity to translate theories and concepts into action".
