SRC in Partnership with Databank Organises Career and Finance Summit

The Students Representative Council (SRC) in collaboration with Databank hosted a Career and Finance Summit at the Nyankpala Campus of the University for Development Studies with the theme; "Unlocking Your Potential Through Career and Finance Planning”. The event featured renowned speakers, such as Mr. Robert Kampi Laari, Author, Motivational Speaker, and Founder of the Dream Big Foundation and Mr. Mubarik Mohammed, Brach Manager of Databank, Tamale.

Addressing the enthusiastic audience at the Career and Finance Summit, the SRC President, Madam Swaad Abdallah extended a warm welcome to all attendees and expressed her gratitude for their active participation in the summit. She emphasized the significance of the summit and the need to exploit the valuable insights that would be shared in the summit. The President also highlighted the practical relevance of integrating these learnings into their daily life.

Focusing on financial literacy, the SRC President urged students to wholeheartedly embrace the essential knowledge shared by the experts as a fundamental aspect of their personal and professional development.

Concluding her speech, Madam Swaad extended her well wishes to the attendees, encouraging them to make the most of their time at the summit and also offered her support to the distinguished speakers.

Mr. Robert Kampi Laari on his part, shared insight on his personal growth, leadership, and how he overcome life challenges. He noted that change is inevitable in life and that adoptability and openness to new experiences contributed immensely to his success.

Mr. Laari further emphasized on the need to set achievable goals, practicing self-care, and seeking continuous learning. These are all great ways to keep growing and leading effectively.

The Branch Manager of Databank, Tamale, Mr. Mubarik Mohammed took participants through financial planning and savings. He encouraged students to take investment opportunities seriously. The summit provided valuable knowledge and inspiration for students to navigate their career paths and manage their finances effectively.
