The purpose of the visit was to strengthen the existing bond of unity between the University and the Yoo-Naa Palace, in a bid to develop and implement developmental strategies that will bring about the growth and wellbeing of Northern Region and its inhabitants.

The Vice Chancellor in his introductory speech, thanked Nyab Yoo Naa for his continues support to the University and Dagbon at large. He enumerated a number of infrastructure development projects taking place on the various campuses of the University and invited the chief to take a stroll of the campuses to ascertain the level of progress.

For his part, the Chairman of the UDS Governing Council, Professor Wayo Seini, commended the chief for his contributions to the development of the Region and UDS in particular. He appealed to the chief to rally his colleague chiefs in the region to throw their support to UDS as the Premier University in the Region.
