The Head of the Antimicrobial Resistance Unit at the Complutense University, Madrid, Spain, Prof. Bruno Gonzalez-Zorn on Monday, 8th November, 2021 donated 500 pieces each of both antibody and antigen Covid-19 test kits to the University for Development Studies (UDS), Tamale, Ghana. The kits were presented to the Vice-Chancellor, Prof. Gabriel Ayum Teye at his office in the Central Administration of the University.
Receiving the items on behalf of the University, the Vice-Chancellor, Prof. Gabriel Ayum Teye thanked the team from Complutense University for the kind gesture and called for more collaboration between the two Universities.
Prof. Teye said the test kits will enable the UDS Health Services conduct more Covid-19 test in the Northern Region. He also used the opportunity to encourage all present at the brief ceremony to get vaccinated.
Some members of management present were the Registrar; Mr. Nurudeen I. Abubakar, Director, Directorate of International Relations and Advancement; Prof. Courage K. S. Saba, Director, University Health Services; Dr. K.K. Azeez and the Dean of the School of Nursing and Midwifery; Dr. Vida N. Yakong.
