A. DIRECTOR OF INTERNAL AUDIT
Duties/Responsibilities
The Director of Internal Audit shall:
- Be the Head of the University Internal Audit Directorate
- Ensure the establishment and administration of efficient and effective financial control systems in the University.
- Ensure the Establishment of risk-based annual audit plans to determine the priorities of the audit activities, consistent with the vision and mission of the University.
- Evaluate the effectiveness of the risk management, internal control, and governance process of the University and contribute to the improvement of that risk management, internal control, and governance process;
- Ensure compliance with enactments, policies, standards, systems, and procedures of the Internal Audit Directorate.
- Develop and implement processes to enhance communication with significant stakeholders including the Director-General of the IAA, Management of the University, the Audit Committee, etc.
- Prepares and submits relevant periodic and annual reports to the Vice-Chancellor, the Audit Committee and other stake-holders in accordance with statutory requirements.
- Liaise with External Auditors and other relevant Stake-holders in the maintenance of fiscal discipline and the implementation of actions of reports and audit findings.
Qualifications Required
Candidate must have the following qualifications:
- A minimum of one-year full time Master’s Degree in Accounting or Finance orrelated field.
- In addition, possess the final professional certificate and be a member of anyone major recognized Professional Accountancy Body; Institute of Chartered Accountants-Ghana (ICAG), Association of Chartered Certified Accountants (ACCA), Chartered Institute of Management Accountants (CIMA), Certified Internal Auditor (CIA), Chartered Institute of Internal Auditors (ClIA), Certified Professional Accountant (CPA)
- Either have a minimum of fifteen (15) years relevant post-qualification experience in a practicing firm, industry commerce or public service OR must have served in the University or in analogous institution as Deputy Internal Auditor for a minimum five (5) years.
B. DIRECTOR OF WORKS AND PHYSICAL DEVELOPMENT
Duties/Responsibilities
The Director of Works and Physical Development shall:
- Be the Head of the University’s Works and Physical Development office.
- Be responsible to the Vice-Chancellor in the discharge of his duties
Qualifications Required
Candidate must have the following qualifications:
- Minimum of a Master’s degree in Architecture, Building Technology and Engineering;
- Be a member of a recognised professional body;
- Either have a minimum of twelve (12) years post qualification working experience in a practicing firm or industry, OR a minimum of three (3) years’ experience as a Deputy Director of Works and Physical Development in a University or Analogous Institution;
- Have completed various projects of considerable magnitude and value;
C. DIRECTOR OF UNIVERSITY HEALTH SERVICES
Duties/Responsibilities
The Director of the University Health Services shall:
- Be the Head of the University Health Directorate.
- Plan and Implement policies on the University Health Services
- Provide leadership to all the staff in the University Health facilities
- Supervise the activities and operation of all the University’s Health Facilities
Qualifications Required
Candidate must have the following qualifications:
- An MB ChB or Dentistry (BDS) qualification;
- A postgraduate degree from a recognised Institution of Higher Learning in the
Relevant specialization.
Must Either
- Have a minimum of ten (10) years qualification experience in the practice of Medicine/Dentistry OR
- Show evidence of post qualification experience in a Senior Management position for at least two (2) years within the Ghana Health Service or in the Directorate of Health Services in a University or analogous Institution.
Note
Applicants who are Members and/or Fellows of recognised and relevant Professional Bodies would have added advantage.
