Background

Abraham Kusi Obeng (PhD) is a Senior Lecturer and Head of the Department of Biotechnology and Molecular Biology. He has also served as Faculty Postgraduate Coordinator, Department Exams Officer, and Seminar/Third Trimester Field Practical Program (TTFPP) Coordinator. Abraham Kusi Obeng has over 10 years of working experience at the University for Development Studies as a teacher and researcher. He has several refereed article publications and presented academic papers at international and local conferences. His teaching covers areas such as Industrial microbiology, Biomass conversion and biorefinery, Genetic engineering, and Microbial biotechnology. His research focus covers lignocellulosic biomass valorisation, biofuels, bioprocess technology, fermentation technology, biodegradation, bioactive compounds, and industrial biotechnology. He has collaborated with other researchers to work on projects funded by the Naresuan Research Fund, National Research Council of Thailand, and Higher Education Research Promotion and the National Research University Project of Thailand (HERP).
