Background

Dr. Alfred Toku holds a PhD in Development Studies, an M.Phil. in Development Studies, and a B.Sc. in Integrated Development Studies. He is an urban development planner with comprehensive knowledge of urban, peri-urban, and rural studies. His research and professional interests lie in urban and rural planning, Development policy, Urban and Rural Policy, Environmental Planning and Management, Environmental Impact Assessment, and Social Policy Planning. He has published extensively on urban livelihoods and governance, waste management, spatial modeling, peri-urban agriculture, climate change, water, flooding, land acquisition, local livelihoods, and adaptation.
