Background
Dr. Cletus Adiyaga Wezena is a senior lecturer and researcher with over 10 years of experience teaching microbiology and molecular biology at the undergraduate and postgraduate levels at the University for Development Studies. His research focus is on the molecular characterization of infectious pathogens that are important in sub-Saharan Africa such as Plasmodium, Schistosoma, Hepatitis B Virus, and Norovirus. He has published several articles in peer-reviewed journals and conference proceedings, and has recently contributed to a book chapter. Dr. Wezena is passionate about teaching, knowledge sharing and research and believes that the adoption of student-centered approaches to teaching promotes a safe and positive learning environment.
