Joseph Mborijah Ngben holds an MPhil in Urban Studies from the University of Cape Town, South Africa, and a Bachelor of Science in Planning from the University for Development Studies. Joseph has background and interest in research and debates on African cities. His research interests centre largely on urban infrastructure, everyday negotiations and access, urban governance, urban sustainability, resilience, and socio-spatial justice. Prior to joining UDS as an Assistant Lecturer, he worked in various capacities with NGOs and research institutions including Ghana Statistical Service, Plan International Ghana and School for Life. These roles provided him with almost a decade of experience in managing field teams, coordinating development projects, conducting community engagements and supporting evidence-based planning.
