Background

Joseph Mohammed Soale is a land management professional, researcher, and consultant with over a decade expertise in sustainable land management, land information systems and environmental sustainability. He holds a Certificate in Business Leadership, a Bachelor of Science in Land Economy, a Master of Science in Environmental Governance. Joseph has extensive professional experience in environmental and social impact assessments, land acquisition, digital land information systems, business management and customary land governance. His research interests include; digital land administration, land tenure systems, land economics, urban development, and sustainable resource management. He has contributed to several consultancy assignments and projects aimed at improving land governance, promoting sustainable development and climate change adaptations in Ghana. Joseph has been awarded the Herman Webner Award, 2025, the KAAD Scholarship, 2013- 2015, 2025 – 2028, the Mandela Washington Fellowish, 2021, Alumni Enrichment Institute Fellowship, 2023.  He is a member of many professional bodies including; the Ghana Institution of Surveyors (trainee), International Leadership Organisation (2022), KASWA and US-Ghana Alumni Association. Joseph has publications in reputable, peer-reviewed international journals on land governance, with the focus on land administration, land-use planning, tenure security, institutional frameworks and sustainable equitable management of land resources.
