Background
Peter Tindukin Birteeb (PhD) is a Senior Lecturer in the Department of Animal Senior Lecturer with additional responsibility as the Head of the Department of Family and Consumer Sciences the Faculty of Agriculture, Food and Consumer Sciences. He has more than 10 years professional experience with the University for Development Studies. He has provided instruction in Basic Statistics, Introduction to Animal Science, Principles of Animal Breeding, Experimental Design, Applied Plant Science Statistics, Research Methods in Veterinary Nursing, Population Genetics, and Animal Experimentation and Research Techniques at the undergraduate level as well as Research Methods I & II, Statistical Genetics, Statistical Methods, and Research Methods and Designs at the postgraduate level. He undertakes research in the areas of agricultural statistics, design of experiments, modelling agroforestry systems and animal genetic resources. Dr. Birteeb has conducted extensive research on indigenous animal genetic resources in northern Ghana. His current research foci are animal breeding and genetics, modelling agroforestry systems and developing suitable designs for agroforestry experiments.
