Background
Shirley Lamptey (PhD) is an Agronomist with The Department of Crop Science, University for Development Studies. She is an Associate Professor and a researcher with over 12 years’ experience. Her main areas of research include sustainable cropping systems, soil water conservation, integrated weed control and climate-smart crop production. She has taught students in Arable Crop Production, Weed Science, Plantation and Industrial Crop Production, Botany and Physiology of Crop Plant at the undergraduate level as well as Farming Systems at the postgraduate level. Dr. Shirley Lamptey has also collaborated on several research and development projects, funded by Alliance for Green Revolution in Africa (AGRA) and National Natural Science Foundation of China. Currently, she serves as Female Senior Hall Tutor, Nyankpala Campus, UDS.
