Background

Mr. Yine Lawrence holds a master’s degree in forensic science with a background in clinical chemistry. Since December 2021, he has been a dedicated teacher and researcher at the Department of Forensic Sciences at the University for Development Studies (UDS). With over 13 years of experience as a medical laboratory scientist in public health in Ghana, Mr. Yine has made significant contributions to his field, including serving as the National Chairman of the Medical Laboratory Workers' Union (MELPWU).

In addition to his teaching and research responsibilities, Mr. Yine serves as the Examination Officer for his department and represents the Department of Forensic Sciences on the Faculty of Bioscience Board. His research interests are diverse, focusing on areas such as homicide investigation, drug and alcohol crime, environmental pollution, toxicology, and nephropathy.

Mr. Yine is actively involved in professional development, having attended numerous scientific conferences and workshops. He is also committed to community service, participating in malaria outreach programs, blood donation campaigns, and health education initiatives in schools, churches, and other community groups.

With his vast experience in the field of medical laboratory science, Mr. Yine aspires to leverage his knowledge and expertise to conduct research that bridges gaps in his areas of interest. He also aims to provide advisory and security consultancy services to the general public, collaborate with other researchers, and win grants for projects that address critical societal challenges.
